I’m just a traveller through
time and space
billions of seconds pass by
an eternal race

vehicles are urging forward
they carry me
swaying across meridians
to infinity

where do I come from
and where, where do I go
must I say good bye
or must I say hello

calendars, clocks and meters
and other tools
units of space and time
reveal a world of fools

where’s the beginning
and where, where is the end
I need to be patient
I need a faithful friend

all dates and places are fixed
with orbital nails
if I have to catch one of each
‘t may happen that I fail

will I remember
or will, will I forget
life starts with a birthday
and in the end we’re dead
